We danced out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, including a ceilidh spot at the Bulverton on Sunday night (see it amongst the videos of us on YouTube). The campsite was a quagmire but our kit was immaculate and we had such fun! As no-one took any pictures of us dancing these mostly show us lounging about between dance spots. There's a photo of Hexham morris men dancing and of two of Hexhamshire lasses Margaret and Amy O'Brien.
It's become 'traditional' for the Witchmen to have a themed party at Ely Folk Festival, the July 2009 theme was punk, here are 30+ photo's of the Witchmen and their entourage (WaGs & children), some taking it more seriously than others. The security guard took it seriously though, as we approached the bar tent mob handed she hauled out her radio and started to call for backup!.

Archeologists have recently unearthed these 5 photo's of the Witchmen at Ely Folk Festival, probably taken in July 1994. Some of the people are long gone, but we can't understand why neither Terry nor Linda looked any younger than they do now (Paintings in the attic?).
2 photo’s of The Witchmen taken by Sarah Alpin at the Rochester Sweeps festival May Day bank holiday week-end 1990(probably). Yes that’s over 25 years ago, so apart from Alan & ’Our Glorious Leader’ Terry, the rest of these dancers are long gone (from The Witchmen that is).
Here for your delight are 2 images (showing Terry & Linda) cropped from a photo taken at The Witchmen's first dance out, outside The Olde Victoria, Burton Latimer in 1986. Click on either of them for the whole picture and see if you can identify any of the young (at the time) people. You'll notice that quite a few things have changed since then - we no longer dance in clogs or decorate our hats with flowers for a start.
